We also want to get the best out of the EU for local advantage, ensuring that so-called "EU funding" targets Luton's needs for community centres, for support of local business, training programmes and town centre improvement.

When the question of the Lisbon treaty was put in a referendum to 3 EU countries: France, Holland and Ireland the answer was no. Why do the political elites in Europe ignore the democratic will of the people when the answer to their question does not suit?
